Flannel Friday 2023

Show a little love to downtown Montpelier, shop local!

Give downtown Montpelier some extra love this holiday season - starting with Flannel Friday

Montpelier’s annual Flannel Friday kicks off the holiday season on November 24th, the day after Thanksgiving. This year, shopping at Montpelier's unique and locally-owned businesses is especially vital as businesses work to recover from the flood and extra support (think shopping!) helps them as well as our community.

During Flannel Friday, shoppers that come downtown in their flannel attire can win prizes and gift cards from local businesses… if they are spotted by the Flannel Fairy! Find a full list of business specials on our website at https://montpelieralive.com/flannel-friday

Small Business Saturday, held the following day on November 25th is a day to celebrate and support our downtown businesses and all they do for our community. It's part of a national program in which all 50 states participate in. Come downtown, shop local and enjoy a FREE horse drawn wagon ride, sponsored by Hunger Mountain Coop - happening from 9am-1pm! Wagon rides leave from State Street, outside of the new Filibuster Cafe.

This holiday season, with much of our downtown reopened or opening soon, Shop Local, Shop Cozy!
