Running 11 weeks on Mondays, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (note change in time), starting September 18th and ending November 27th. This in an outdoor playgroup for parents, children, and children ages 0-5. Join us for 2 hours of spontaneous play, exploration, discovery, song, nature inspired art, and oral storytelling. This playgroup offers a community experience that models ways in which the natural environment can be used as a tool for child-led learning and play. Donations welcomed. *This playgroup is based entirely outdoors. Please be prepared with water, snack, and warm clothing that is suitable for getting wet and dirty!

The T. W. Wood Gallery at 46 Barre St in Montpelier, Vermont is pleased to announce the New American Realism exhibit of Vermont artists Heidi Broner August Burns. The exhibit runs from October 31 through December 22, with an opening reception on Thursday, November 2, from 5:00-7:00 pm. The reception is free and will offer an opportunity to meet the artists, purchase art and enjoy refreshments. There will be a Gallery Art Talk with the artists on Friday, December 1 at 6:00 pm. Broner and Burns’ will discuss their artwork followed by a time for discussion with the audience. . This show is one of the highlights of the Gallery this year and is not to be missed!

Join the Center for Arts and Learning for an evening of folk music and storytelling featuring beloved local musicians Patti Casey and Colin McCaffrey, and renowned storyteller Willem Lange. The fundraising event to support CAL and its member organizations (Monteverdi Music School, River Rock School and the T.W. Wood Art Gallery) will also include a silent auction for small 6X6 canvases turned into unique works of art by more than a dozen local artists.
It is an evening you won't want to miss! Advance tickets available after Oct. 24th at Bear Pond Books, Bagitos Cafe and Capitol Stationers in addition to Eventbrite and at the door!
