Running 11 weeks on Mondays, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (note change in time), starting September 18th and ending November 27th. This in an outdoor playgroup for parents, children, and children ages 0-5. Join us for 2 hours of spontaneous play, exploration, discovery, song, nature inspired art, and oral storytelling. This playgroup offers a community experience that models ways in which the natural environment can be used as a tool for child-led learning and play. Donations welcomed. *This playgroup is based entirely outdoors. Please be prepared with water, snack, and warm clothing that is suitable for getting wet and dirty!

The T. W. Wood Gallery at 46 Barre St in Montpelier, Vermont is pleased to announce the New American Realism exhibit of Vermont artists Heidi Broner August Burns. The exhibit runs from October 31 through December 22, with an opening reception on Thursday, November 2, from 5:00-7:00 pm. The reception is free and will offer an opportunity to meet the artists, purchase art and enjoy refreshments. There will be a Gallery Art Talk with the artists on Friday, December 1 at 6:00 pm. Broner and Burns’ will discuss their artwork followed by a time for discussion with the audience. . This show is one of the highlights of the Gallery this year and is not to be missed!

This winter, CAL is excited to announce a new Song Circle: a community singalong. The first Sunday evening of each month @CAL, you are invited to participate in a gathering to sing new and old favorites from Rise Up Singing. From 6-8pm in the west wing (enter CAL from driveway entry, up 1/2 a flight of stairs, turn right, Room 109 is just past the lounge on the right). Donations appreciated but not required.
Song Circle coordinators are Montpelier residents Jacob and Gretta Stone, experienced song leaders and enthusiastic community musicians who love to sing.
