  2. Vanishment, new work by Vermont artist Janet Van Fleet

    April 5, 2019, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM @ Vermont Supreme Court Gallery

    Vanishment, new work featured by Vermont artist Janet Van Fleet, will be on view at the Vermont Supreme Court Gallery from April 2 through June 28, 2019, with an opening reception on Thursday, April 4, 4-7 PM. The exhibit explores the fraught relationship between humans and the natural world, using, in part, materials that Van Fleet has repurposed from previous bodies of work.

  3. Montpelier Senior Activity Center Rummage Sale

    April 5, 2019, 10:00 AM - April 6, 2019, 2:00 PM @ Montpelier Senior Activity Center

    The Montpelier Senior Activity Center will be hosting our annual Rummage Sale on April 5th and 6th. We're accepting donations of clean and useable appliances, household items, DVDS, toys, housewares, jewelry and much more! Please drop off your items between 9:00am-4:00pm on Monday and Tuesday, April 1st and 2nd. The sale will be held from 10:00-4:00pm on Friday, April 5th; and from 10:00am-2:00pm on Saturday, April 6th. We'll be having our bag sale from 12:00-2:00pm on Saturday. During the bag sale, we'll be distributing bags at the door - everything you can fit in the bag will be $4.00.

The Vermont Watercolor Society will exhibit works of Janice Avery, Lisa Beach, Joann DiNicola, Gary Eckhart, Terry Hodgdon, Susan Bull Riley, Michael Ridge and more at the T.W. Wood Gallery, A Museum of American Art. Opening Reception: April 4th, 5:00 -7:00 PM

  5. Ray Brown and Toby Bartles - Steps on a Journey – An Exhibit of Two Vermont Painters

    The T. W. Wood Gallery at 46 Barre St at the Center for Arts and Learning in Montpelier, Vermont is pleased to announce an exhibit of Vermont painters Ray Brown and Toby Bartles. Both artists share much in common with the second generation abstract expressionists, as they both draw influence for painterly choices from immediate surroundings such as landscape or architecture to create inner meaning.

  6. A Poem City Event - Hearing Through the Heart - An Evening of Poetry and Dance at T.W. Wood Gallery

    April 5, 2019, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

    An Evening of Poetry and Dance with poets Rosa Castellano and George Longenecker and dancers Alana Rancourt Phinney and Mireya Guerra. Through narratives of racial injustice, social inequality and equity, the poets and dancers engage the heart-opening nature of poetry and dance to bridge glimpses of ourselves within the compassionate stories of others. The poets will be accompanied by professional dancers. “When we listen together and allow ourselves to be moved together, something passes between us and leaves a mark.” – Rosa Castellano and George Longenecker.
