DIY Walk/Run to Raise $100 for Hubbard Park's 80-acre Expansion!
9:00am-5:00pm DIY Walk/Run to Raise $100 for Hubbard Park's 80-acre Expansion!Montpelier Parks and Onion River Outdoors set up a ~2.5-mile route flagged/signed till 12/17! It starts, ends at the New Shelter, at a banner on display. An anonymous donor is donating $100 for anyone who walks the flagged route (any day!) through the new properties. To participate: 1. Run/Walk the route (follow signs!). 2. Snap a photo in front of the banner at the New Shelter. 3. Post to Facebook or Instagram, tag @onionriveroutdoors, or email [email protected]. 4. Earn $100 dollars for the Project from an anonymous donor! Less than $25K left to raise to forever benefit the Montpelier community! The seven-minute show loops continuously and features dozens of original animations that celebrate Central Vermont and the many holidays celebrated in our capital city! Join Naturalist Gail Johnson and learn how to attune your eyes to find animal signs: food scraps, woodpecker, insect and mammal holes, nests, feathers, fur, tracks, scat! (animal droppings), and the animals themselves (silhouettes or good views). Animal signs are fun to find, and they tell a story. In addition, Gail will have animal signs in her pack to share. No need to register; just show up!
