July 3rd Celebration

3:00pm-10:00pm July 3rd Celebration

July 3rd is the Capital City’s largest festival of the year - a national holiday celebrated in a uniquely Montpelier way. Enjoy family-friendly activities happening downtown throughout the day. The fun begins at 3pm with the July 3rd Food Truck Festival and FamilyFest on the State House Lawn. After the FamilyFest, the Montpelier Mile Road Race begins at 6 pm and kicks-off the Community Parade! After enjoying the parade, join us on the State House Lawn for live music and more fun. The night is capped off by an epic fireworks show!

National Life Group Do Good Fest

1:30pm-9:00pm National Life Group Do Good Fest

Get ready for the return of the National Life Group Do Good Fest, the largest single-day music festival in Vermont! Now in its 11th year, Do Good Fest has raised over $2 million since 2014 (except during two pandemic years) by bringing national acts to Montpelier. This year’s fest features multi-platinum band The Fray as headliner, with two-time Grammy-nominated Plain White T’s and festival favorite Sammy Rae & The Friends as supporting acts. In addition to the music, enjoy food trucks, a beer garden, a VIP lounge, and a Nonprofit Village to learn about local causes, capped off with an exciting fireworks display. Advance tickets are required, starting at a minimum donation of $5, with all proceeds benefiting the Vermont Foodbank to help end childhood hunger, one of National Life’s core corporate causes.

Second Monday Circle Sing!

7:00pm-8:45pm Second Monday Circle Sing!

Montpelier's Monthly Circle Sing We gather every second Monday at the Montpelier Performing Arts HUB on 35 College St. Dive into collaborative vocal magic with your neighbors. New folks are always welcome. What is "Circle Singing?" In a super supportive, playful, and judgment-free space, you're invited to explore singing the music of the moment. Together we interweave musical patterns, rhythms, harmonies, melodies, movement, words, percussive sounds, and come out with a lot of joy and aliveness. In the traditions of Bobby McFerrin, Rhiannon, Zuza Gonçalves, and others, we co-create the songs we need to sing and share. Our listening, trust and willingness to share our imperfect voices leads us through a little vulnerability and into music and connection that deeply feeds our hearts and souls. Feel free to reach out with questions at [email protected] — I’m happy to share more about what to expect. RSVP to [email protected]. Payment of $20-$40 can be sent via Venmo (@David-Ruffin-Voice) or in cash at the event. While payment at the time of RSVPing is not required, it is much appreciated and guarantees your spot. Come on out and make some beauty!
