5:00pm-6:30pm Dam Removal in Downtown Montpelier (field trip)

Visit the defunct and derelict dams of Montpelier’s industrial past, and learn why these small structures lead to big problems. For one unforgettable night, local artists will take the stage in roles they’d never be cast in — from gender-swapped showstoppers to songs written for totally different voice types. Expect powerhouse vocals, big laughs, and heartfelt moments as they finally sing the songs they've always dreamed of.

Cheer them on as they defy expectations and prove there's no such thing as being “miscast” when passion takes the spotlight!

Dam Removal in Downtown Montpelier (field trip)

Tuesday Sep 30th 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm
@ Meet at the parking lot next to The Drawing Board

Visit the defunct and derelict dams of Montpelier’s industrial past, and learn why these small structures lead to big problems. Old dams collect sediment upstream, increase erosion downstream, and alter the river’s flow to increase the risk of flood damage over time. On this walking tour, learn about how Montpelier is addressing these issues, and the work that’s being done by Vermont River Conservancy and other partners to remove these dams.
