This free, family-friendly event is packed with activities for all ages.
Enjoy outdoor adventure, cozy indoor gatherings, downtown shopping, music, and seasonal traditions.

Ice Sculptures on the Kellogg-Hubbard Library lawn and in front of City Hall.
These sculptures are designed to be interactive, with kid-friendly photo-op designs.
The ice sculptures are made possible for the community due to a generous grant from AARP.

Join us as we welcome the delivery of the Winterfest ice sculptures at City Hall Plaza
and the Kellogg-Hubbard Library lawn, starting at 10am Friday morning.

Craft Night at the Bookstore – Bear Pond Books
Spending an evening relaxing & crafting a wide variety of projects including:
book flowers, felting, origami, stenciled book edges, and more.
There will be snacks and bring your own beverage.

Join Naturalist Gail Johnson for a close-up look at tracks and the stories
they tell. You will use Tom Brown Jr.'s (the Tracker) examples of 4 basic

Join us for the 2026 Onion River Outdoors Snowshoe Romp,
with support from the Montpelier Area Mountain Bike Association.
Enjoy a winter evening snowshoe loop at Country Club Road, featuring glowing luminaries
and a festive Winterfest atmosphere. A fun, family-friendly way to get outside and enjoy winter under the lights. Free demo adult and junior snowshoes from Tubbs, Atlas, and MSR expertly fitted by Onion River Outdoors staff and MAMBA volunteers!
