Will the construction on State Street be over in time?
Yes! The contractor is wrapping up the State Street portion of the project, and both the street and sidewalks will be repaired in time for the parade.
Is the event rain or shine?
Yes, the celebration is rain or shine. We’ll only cancel if there are thunderstorms. Keep an eye on our social media for any urgent weather updates.
When is the parade?
The parade begins at 6:15 PM, immediately following the Montpelier Mile.
When are the fireworks?
Fireworks light up the sky at 9:30 PM. Check out our full event schedule for more happenings throughout the day.
What food trucks will be there?
We’ve got a delicious lineup! Visit our website for the full list of food vendors.
Will there be bathrooms?
Yes! Portable toilets will be set up on the State House lawn and throughout downtown.
Where do I go for information the day of the event?
Visit the Montpelier Alive info tent on the State House lawn. MPD will also be present, and MA staff and volunteers will be wearing bright green hats so you can easily spot us.
Where should I park?
Try the Park and Ride at the VT Department of Labor. Green Mountain Transit will be running free shuttles to Taylor Street every 15 minutes from 4:00–10:30 PM.
