Spring Into Downtown:
MudFest, Mayfest &
25 Years of Montpelier Alive
The next two weekends are packed with events that showcase the heart and soul of downtown Montpelier. From mud-loving adventurers to art-lovers, live music fans, from locals and visitors alike—there’s something for everyone coming up.
This weekend (April 25–27), we’re embracing springtime Vermont-style with Mudfest! Join us for a city-wide celebration of outdoor fun, local craftsmanship, and community vibes. Whether you’re pedaling in the Muddy Onion Gravel Grinder, cheering on runners at The Mucker, exploring the Gear Makers Festival, or just enjoying live music, food, and drinks downtown—this is a weekend to remember. And yes, the forecast says rain. But Vermonters are waterproof, right? Throw on your boots and bring your sense of adventure, our local shops and venues are ready to keep you cozy, warm, and well-fed between the splashes.
Next weekend (May 3–4) brings even more reason to celebrate with Mayfest, a vibrant mix of downtown events, pop-up parties, and activities. The crown jewel? Our Montpelier Alive 25th Anniversary Party, Bridge To A Bright Future, a celebration of the people, partnerships, and persistence that have brought our community together for a quarter-century. Join us for live music, local vendors, activities for all ages, and a chance to raise a toast to our shared future.
Whether you’re wading through mud or dancing under a tent, downtown Montpelier is alive and well—and you won’t want to miss a moment.
